FAQ

Q: What exactly is a pop/bang/crackle tune?
A: It’s a calibration that modifies fuel cut and ignition timing to create aggressive sounds during deceleration and shifting. Expect loud pops, overrun crackles, and in some setups, visible flames.

Q: Will this make my car faster?
A: No. We don’t care about quarter-mile slips. This isn’t for going faster — it’s for sounding louder, looking meaner, and stealing attention wherever you go.

Q: Can I daily drive with this tune?
A: Yes — though your neighbors might not love it. We can offer “tamed” versions for street use or full-blown setups that snap, bang, and throw fire on command.

Q: Do I need special exhaust mods for flames?
A: Ideally, yes. An aftermarket cat-back or straight pipe setup helps the sound and gives raw fuel a chance to ignite. Factory exhaust systems with catalytic converters may suppress flames.

Q: Is it safe for my engine?
A: We strive to make our calibrations as safe as possible within the context of what they’re designed to do. That said, this style of tuning is harsh, aggressive, and intentionally abusive to components. It puts extra strain on your exhaust system, ignition, and drivetrain. Reliability is not the priority here — entertainment is. If you're chasing longevity, this probably isn’t your lane.

Q: Is this legal for street use?
A: Check your local laws. This tuning is for off-road and show use only. That said... what you do is up to you. We’re just the ghosts behind the keyboard.

Q: Can I toggle it on/off?
A: You will be provided a tuning device that will allow you to load and unload tunes anytime you need. So you have free will to drive with whatever file you would like.

Q: Do you offer remote tuning?
A: Absolutely. That is in fact what we specialize in. This is handled 100% via email or through a phone app that HP Tuners offers called the TDN app. It is very easy and quick to learn. We will help every step of the way.
